Hi. My name is Thane Watkins and I am a black Conservative, currently living in LA (the irony of both are not lost on you, I'm sure). A few observations to start off with, please feel free to chime in...
A few things I know:
- There are currently 49 Democrats, 49 Republicans, and 2 independents in the US Senate, and Barack Obama is the least qualified of any of them to be President
- The greatest hip hop lyricist every is Biggie Smalls
- Iran is building a nuclear weapon. Barack's solution is to talk more sternly to them (which I think we have established doesn't work)
- The greatest beat maker ever is Dr. Dre (with a shout out to Guru)
- Sarah Palin has more experience and accomplishments than Barack Obama, and she is running for VICE President
- The greatest rap performer ever is Kool G Rap (with a shout out to 2Pac)
- When the Democrats actually have to work for the black vote is when blacks in this country will truly have political power. Right now we give our votes away for welfare, section 8 housing, and government cheese
- The best hip hop cd ever is "Only Built 4 Cuban links" by Raekwon the Chef
- Black folks are supporting Obama solely because he is black, white folks are supporting Obama solely because he is the most left wing Senator in the Senate
